MENZIS • 2018

MenzisCover-min

Menzis is a Dutch health insurer, with 2.2 million insured clients

Project goals

The current app looked outdated and too basic functionality wise. It was possible to send in a declaration, however for every other thing you needed to go to their website. We had determined 3 main goals for users:

Goal-check

Send in new declarations via upload or photo

Goal-check

Check submitted declarations and pending pay-out

Goal-check

View your insurance policy and insurance card

Labels, labels, labels

Menzis has 2 other labels under which they provide healthcare insurance: Anderzorg and HEMA Insured. All the apps have the same features but a different design depending on the branding.

A new way of navigating

We started with the declaration process of the 2012 declaration app as a basis. For the information architecture I restructured the entire navigation. Because of the multiple secondary features it was important to keep the hierarchy the same level.

All features aboard!

With the new navigation set, I designed a new dashboard where users could access the secondary features immediately. It’s possible to navigate to your insurance info, see your insurance card and check your pending  pay-outs directly from the dashboard. Easy access from the get-go.

Anderzorg

And add a splash of branding

The Anderzorg label was the first brand for which we built every feature. Subsequently I rebranded the app for the other labels. You can find a detailed layout and explanation of the app in the image below.
